Persistance and Academic Success Services (PASS) provides collaborative student support services designed to empower students to become independent and active learners who thrive at UWF and achieve their academic goals.


First Year Advising

Freshman, first-time-in-college, and undeclared students receive support in academic goal setting, degree planning, and course registration through a dedicated advisor in First Year Advising before transitioning to an advisor within their major department.

Students receive free support in learning and study skills development, peer academic coaching, and subject-based tutoring through Tutoring and Learning Resources to strengthen academic performance and promote long-term success.

ArgoFirst is a first-year residential community in Martin and Argo Halls, where Persistence and Academic Success Services (PASS) provides targeted programming and events designed to build community, connect students with campus resources, and enhance the first-year experience.
