At one time in the 1980’s, an undergraduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority did exist at the University of West Florida. A group of determined young ladies had a vision to reactivate that chapter. It was because of their persistence and hard work that they were able to bring Zeta Phi Beta into the new millennium.
In the Fall of 1999, five young ladies were inducted into the newly re-established undergraduate chapter, Nu Eta, by Pensacola’s graduate chapter, Gamma Tau Zeta. Although small in number, the Noble and Elegant ladies of Nu Eta strive to continue upholding the ideals of service, scholarship, sisterhood, and finer womanhood.
Collectively, they participate in many campus and community events. Some activities include tutoring, donating food baskets and toys to the underprivileged, and volunteering and raising money for the March of Dimes.
Nu Eta aspires to motivate other young women to adopt the ideals set forth by the sorority well into the millennium.
