Famous Florida Women

The Women's Studies Program at the University of West Florida is unique in its interdisciplinary scope. Students study the work of women's studies scholars and acquire the ability to examine and analyze history, literature, economic factors, politics, religion, legal matters, communication, film, works of art, and music through a variety of lenses. Courses taught in history, archaeology, sociology, psychology, legal studies, communication arts, business, religious studies and science heighten students' awareness of the issues, questions and tasks central to feminist inquiry.
