Famous Florida Women

The Women's Studies Program at the University of West Florida is unique in its interdisciplinary scope. Students study the scholarship of women and acquire the ability to examine and analyze history, literature, economic factors, film, works of art, and music through a variety of lenses. Courses taught in history, archaeology, sociology, psychology, legal studies, communication arts, business, nursing and science heighten students' awareness of the issues, questions and tasks central to feminist inquiry.
