The Crary Science Center (CRSEC) is a well equipped lab that supports a wide range of science disciplines. The labs are designed to support biological research and the instruments/equipment available are on par with what can be expected in a modern research facility back the states. Many visitors claim that the CRSEC is better equipped than their home institutions. Office space and computer facilities are ample to meet most needs. Some specialized equipment has been dedicated specifically for the UV photobiology module. An example of some instruments are pictured below.

An aquarium room is available for large experiments and maintaining organisms . |
A light box is available for controlled exposures to UV and an HPLC for measuring UV absorbing compounds. |
A Niskin bottle is used to collect water samples at various depths at each of our sampling locations. |
