| Newtown Castle -- located just outside the town of Ballyvaughan, Newtown Castle is a restored structure on the grounds of the Burren College of Art. | The Ennistymon Market -- A weekly market in the square of the market town of Ennistymon includes a variety of vendors. The town of about 900 features a sport spa hotel and diverse specialty shops, pubs, a regional public library, banking facilities, and many interesting old shop fronts and historical places. Though the town does not often appear on tourist maps, it was the central place for most of Northwest Clare during the 20th century. |
