Evolution/Creation Debate  During the Fall 1999 term, I participated in a debate with Kent Hovind at the University Center for Fine and Performing Arts.  Joining us were Professor Nick Power and Mr. Mike Schultz.  Click on my picture to go to a transcription of our debate with annotations and links to other information on the subject. Kent Hovind's Creation Science Evangelism Page Kent is based here in Pensacola and we have occasionally debated.  It's hard to tell whether his site is more involved in science or marketing, but he is very successful in forming opinion on the issues within the fundamentalist community.
Creation "Science" Debunked  This site is a good starting point into the Web material on evolution addressing the "evolution-creation" controversy.   The site is informative on key issues, and contains webring links to many other "evolution" sites.  As you can see from this and the following sites, the argument is not likely to go away soon.  Jim Foley's Critique of "Big Daddy"  This page says what needs to be said about this much distributed Chick Publications tract.    The "professor" in Big Daddy looks a lot like me, while the "winning" Christian in the brochure looks a lot like Kent.  But then, he rewrote the booklet.  These resemblances are merely coincidental, I suppose, since neither of us actually conduct ourselves in the ways depicted in the pamphlet.
