The purpose of the TOEFL test is to evaluate the English proficiency of people whose language is not English. The test uses a multiple-choice format to measure the ability to understand North American English. The TOEFL is now administered as a computer-adaptive test (CAT) throughout North America and in many others parts of the world, but is not longer offered weekly at UWF. For dates and registration information refer to the TOEFL website (TOEFL) or contact TOEFL directly by phone at 1-800-GO-TOEFL. For hours and other information at the UWF Testing Center call (850) 473-7339.
