CLEP is the mostly widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the country. The CLEP examinations are offered by the College Board, a non-profit membership organization that provides tests and other educational services for students, schools, and colleges. The heart of CLEP is a series of examinations, each 90 minutes long, that allow you to demonstrate your knowledge in a wide range of subjects. You can choose from 35 different examinations. The CLEP exams are administered via computer throughout the year.
Students desiring to earn credit at UWF through CLEP need to verify eligibility to earn possible UWF credit prior to registering for an exam. You can go to the current UWF Catalog to see what specific credit can be earned via CLEP (UWF Catalog/CLEP). The test fee is $70.00 per exam, plus a $15.00 Service Fee per test date.
At UWF, test dates are BY APPOINTMENT on computer. Call the Testing Office for the days and hours the CLEP is available for administration, and the registration procedures
