~ Primary Learning Objectives ~
Students should be able to:
1) Explain the major legal issues in I/O psychology, including the importance and complexity of these
issues.
2) Summarize the content of primary legal sources (e.g., Court cases, Acts, Guidelines).
3) Discuss the impact of court cases, guidelines, etc. for individuals, organizations, and society.
4) Give formal presentations that succinctly review the legal status of a given issue and evaluate its
strengths and weaknesses.
5) State how organizations can implement practices and procedures that allow them to comply with
EEOC regulations and help prevent various forms of discrimination.
