is America's first European settlement. Its historic district hosts, in addition
to its many historic sites, an assortment of shops, clubs, and restaurants
to enjoy. During spring and summer, Seville Square, in the heart of the historic
district, comes alive with a variety
of music one evening each week. Each month, UWF's radio station WUWF
88.1 FM presents RadioLive, a live
concert broadcast from the Museum of Commerce in the historic district.
In true Southern fashion, any excuse to throw a festival or concert is a good one in Pensacola. Each year, the Gulf Coast Arts and Crafts Festival and the Seafood Festival are held in Pensacola. Each spring, SpringFest brings downtown Pensacola alive with three days of music by nationally-known acts. UWF hosts its own arts & crafts festival each spring: Festival on the Green. The Pensacola Visitor Information Center maintains a calendar of the many festivals and events held each year in Pensacola.
