Purpose, Expectations, & Matching
The purpose of the internship component of this graduate program is to provide
students with an opportunity to learn first-hand the business of student affairs
administration. The internships will provide an opportunity for students to
apply the theories and principles learned in the classroom and the opportunity
to work with practitioners who can provide insight into the application of
their coursework into their chosen career field. Click

The Internship Process
Briefly, the process for acquiring and signing up for an internship is:
- Contacts the office in which you are interested in doing the internship
to agree on the focus of the internship, what the internship will entail,
and possible projects that could be completed by the student during the
internship.
- Meet with the appropriate site supervisor in the unit to discuss the focus of the internship, what activity the internship will entail, and possible projects that could be completed by the student during the internship.
- Work with the Internship Coordinator to establish student learning
outcomes and related assessments that align with the anticipated project
or activities.
- Register for the actual internship (EDH 6905).
