Dear UWF Faculty and Staff:
It is with great pleasure that I present to you the university's new graphic identity standards, which enable the university to have a consistent look and feel in all print and electronic publications. While the standards call for consistent threads that reinforce this is a UWF product, they also provide creative flexibility so our many departments can highlight their unique personalities.
Together, we continue to make progress toward achieving our goals and setting the university apart with an uncompromising focus on exellence, modest enrollment growth, depth rather than breadth in academic programs, a caring attitude and strong community engagement. Our success relies on our creativity, entrepreneurship and a commitment to each other.
When we use our graphic identity consistently throughout the university, we show that we are united as a team, each taking pride in the individual success of others. I applaud the Marketing Communications Department for compiling this information for the campus community to use in updating our graphic symbols. We can now move into the future with a fresh, unified look that will serve us well as we distinguish UWF as “the premier creative, student-centered university focused on excellence.”
Cordially,
John C. Cavanaugh
