Argonaut Mascot
The myths of ancient Greece tell of Jason and the Argonauts, adventurers who left the comforts of a familiar land and sailed off to distant worlds in search of the golden fleece. We honor those sea-faring warriors by using Argonaut as the name to represent our student athletes. Royal blue and kelly green are the colors of the team uniforms.

There are several athletic logo options. The primary logo depicts an Argonaut holding a sword and shield. The athletic logos must be displayed with visual integrity according to the following standards.

STANDARDS

• Must not be altered in any way, including colors or graphic elements.
• Logos may be resized proportionately.
• The athletics logo may not replace the official UWF logo in printed communications.
• Each athletic logo is to be used in its entirety. No part of the logo, such as the Argonaut graphic, may be used separately or placed with other graphics to create alternate logos.
• The athletics logos are trademarked and may not be distributed to any vendor without appropriate licensing.

Athletics Colors
The following Pantone Matching System ink colors are to be used whenever the athletics logos appear in spot colors blue, green, navy and silver in printed communications.

Other key information about UWF intercollegiate athletics:

• UWF teams compete in NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference in 13 sports.
• UWF teams are academically competitive student-athletes who, on average, out-perform the UWF student body in grade point average.
• Women’s sports include softball, tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross-country and golf.
• Men’s sports include baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, cross-country and tennis.
• Both men and women Argonauts have won many Gulf South Conference titles, trophies and championships as well as NCAA Division II regional and national honors.
