The Department of Computer Science provides a high-quality, student oriented
educational experience to undergraduate and graduate students in the
Northwest Florida region. The department prepares students for successful careers in
computing by empowering them with the knowledge and skills to contribute responsibly
and creatively to a complex and ever-changing world, and to continue professional
development and life-long learning.
The department offers Master of Science degrees in Computer Science and Software Engineering; Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems; minors in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, and Internet Technologies; and certificate programs in Database Systems, Information Technology, and Web Development Technologies.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers baccalaureate degree programs of excellence in electrical engineering and computer
engineering that serve the needs of the West Florida region, the state, and the nation. The
goal of the degree programs is to prepare students to embark upon a
professional career in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or to pursue
graduate study. Both degrees are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the
Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET).
The department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering; an Associate of Arts in Pre-Engineering; a minor in Electrical Engineering; and a certificate program in Electrical Engineering.
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics strives to provide quality undergraduate and graduate education in Mathematics and Statistics and its applications, and to contribute to the community, region and profession through research and service.
The department offers a Master of Science degree in Mathematics; Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics, Computational and Applied Mathematics, and Finanacial Mathematics and Applied Statistics; and a minor in Mathematics.
The Physics Department provides high-quality instruction in Physics and trains competent Physicists who can contribute significantly to the Physics and Engineering environment in the country. The department strives to develop awareness of Physics as an ongoing activity through student involvement in research, thus providing students with a challenging, strongly personalized training program.
The department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Computational Physics, Engineering Physics, and Physics; and a minor in Physics.
