April Glenn

April went on to complete her doctoral degree in education at UWF, and is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working at the Counseling and Wellness Center on the UWF campus. Formerly, she was a program manager and counselor for the Community Drug and Alcohol Council’s (CDAC) Beta II Program.

Mica Harrell

Mica is Director of UWF's Health Promotion Services in Counseling and Wellness Center. She spearheads education and outreach on alcohol awareness, sexual health, and sexual assault prevention among other initiatives.

Joe Salter

Joe is a school-based counselor in the Pensacola area, having obtained his job just prior to his graduation in 2007. He is also a reknowned joggler, now training to complete a triathlon while juggling.

Don Harrison

Don completed the program in December, 2006.  He is currently working at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center and is pursuing Florida state licensure as a mental health counselor. He states that while at UWF, he worked on additional clinical and research projects that he learned from and enjoyed.

Joanna Riddle

Joanna is employed with Lutheran Services Florida in Ft. Walton Beach as a residential counselor for one of their shelters. She is working towards licensure as a mental health counselor.

Shannon Nicole Arsenault

Shannon worked as a counselor with Children's Home Society in Pensacola, the Counseling Center at the University of West Florida, and is now in private practice. www.beforebeyondnow.com

Melissa Rounds

Melissa works at Project HELP, in Naples, FL. She is counseling victims of sexual assault, in addition to people who have sudddenly lost a loved one, either to accidents or crime.  She indicates that “it will be tough, but very rewarding. I am very excited about it. As an extra bonus, one of the Project HELP fundraising events includes a chocolate extravaganza!”

Susan Herschen

Susan now resides in the San Diego area and is pursuing licensure in California as a marriage and family therapist.

Carol Hicks

Sharon is an outpatient therapist in Milton, and works for Lakeview.

Donna Rigby

Donna Rigby has been in private practice in Pensacola since her graduation.

Jim Trent

Jim Trent has worked extensively with juvenile diversion programs, and is now a private practioner in Pensacola.
