Recent Educational Activities

 

      Course Restructuring and Development at UWF:

 

§         Revised and developed the course in Electric Power Systems –Fall 2004: Revised the course outline, course objectives, and syllabus incorporating details in modern power system technology and enhancing student learning outcomes. Developed the syllabus in SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) format. Introduced power simulation software to conduct lab experiments. 

§         Revised and developed the course in Communications and Advance Communications - Spring 2005: Introduced the concept of using simulation software using MULTISIM® and developed lab experiments. Revised course syllabus and objectives to reflect student learning outcomes. Introduced course project module into the syllabus.

§         Revised and developed the existing course in Industrial Electricity and Electronics - Spring 2005: Revised syllabus and course structure and developed the learning outcomes.

§         Introduced a new course in Electronics Application: Spring 2005: Developed a new course in electronics application technology based on analog and digital electronic devices and circuits. The course aims at delivering theoretical knowledge to the students in the electronics devices and circuits and in several course project modules. The course also aims at teaching a systematic method to develop electronics project from concept to product development. The curriculum changes to reflect this new course has also been developed other than design and development of the syllabus.

 

       Other teaching related activities at UWF:

§         Revised curriculum to reflect changes in the existing course plan and the introduction of new courses. Developed new curriculum change requests and plans to incorporate and enhance the existing curriculum structure.

§         Worked on re-designing lab introducing new equipment and components to enhance the existing set up.

§         Presently working with industrial partners to enhance the student internship program and to introduce a seamless relationship for three main technical areas. Also, working on delivering the courses at a distance for those who may not be able to attend classes physically including a PDA curriculum delivery.
