As a UWF student, you will be issued an
my.uwf.edu/ArgoNet account when you enroll
in courses in the Certificate in Medical Informatics or Master of Public Health programs.
With the provided login name and password for this account,
you automatically have access to an e-mail account and to disk space
to create and maintain Web pages.
When completing assignments for this class, you can also access and use your my.uwf.edu/Argonet account
from
any computer on campus, or from home. For the purposes of this
program we will mainly utilize the following labs:
- DLHS Computer Lab - Sacred Heart Hospital
The Division of Life and Health Sciences lab will be the primary
computing area for the course.
From machines in this lab, you will be able to access the
course Website, work on your class projects, and review on-line
resources.
- For those students who travel to the main campus, you will
also have access to several additional computing facilities with
configurations similar to the DLHS Computer Lab:
- Biology Department Computer Lab - Bldg. 58, Room 011
This lab is available Mon-Fri, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Computer Lab - Bldg. 58A, 2nd floor
This lab is typically available Mon-Fri, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- UWF LAN Computer Lab (also known as SAIL Lab) - Bldg. 79
This lab has over 100 machines and is available 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week.

You may also be to complete assignments via remote access from your
home computer. If you prefer this option, please test your platform
early in the semester to resolve any problems.
How to Do E-mail Forwarding
Now, as a first test in using your account and confirming your new e-mail address, please follow
these steps:
- Use your favorite browser to vist the my.uwf.edu Website: http://my.uwf.edu
- Enter your login ID and password.
- Locate the My Argonet tab near the top of the opening screen and click on it.
- Scroll down on that page to the section on Email.
- Click on the forwarding link under email options.
- Confirm your UWF e-mail address. Unless you indicate a new forwarding address (following the next several steps),
this is where all course-related e-mail will be sent.
- If you intend to check and receive e-mail within another account, scroll down to the section called
EMAIL FORWARDING.
- Enter your preferred e-mail account within that section and click on Add Forward.
- Please make sure you keep this information up-to-date as e-mails will be sent out periodically
to either your UWF e-mail account, or to whatever is your current forwarding address.
