Attendance
Conflicts with exam or laboratory scheduling must be taken care of in advance for non-emergency situations. Material or sessions missed for emergency or excused absences must be made up at the convenience of the instructor and teaching assistants.
How you will be Graded:
Weekly quizzes will cover the previous week’s material. Lowest quiz grade will be dropped. A take home exam will be given towards the end of the course
Additional Requirements for Graduate Credit:
1) Prepare a research paper on a topic to explore in further detail
2) Present a short (10-15 min) presentation on the paper topic for the class.
Grading System:
Weekly quizzes (lowest quiz grade will be dropped) (65%)
Take home exam (35% for undergraduates, 25% for graduate students).
Paper and presentation (10% graduate students only)
Grading Scale:
Final grades will be based on frequency distribution of total course points.
Course Withdrawal
The last day to withdrawal with an automatic "W" is October 23, 1998.
