Register for Parent-Child Class. Parents get in the water with their child for a gentle, enjoyable water orientation. Safety cues, appropriate holds and fun activities build parent-child trust.
Parent-Child is designed for those families getting their feet wet for the 1st time as well as repeat participants!
Register for Young Beginner Class. Our focus is unsupported floating & locomotion plus basic safety principles.
Young Beginner is designed for those 3-5 year olds who don't like to put their face in the water or get their head wet, have never experienced a formal swim lesson before or tend to be more cautious about trying new things. A wide range of skills are introduced and experienced with support.
Advanced Young Beginner is designed for those 3-5 year olds who can or are ready to put their face in the water and are confident in and around the water environment. Skill performance independently of the instructor is the goal.
Beginner starts
building a solid foundation for independent swimming.
Advanced Beginner helps coordinate
rotary breathing with front crawl, better coordination of back
crawl & elementary backstroke plus the fundamentals of treading
water & beginning
diving.
Intermediate increases endurance and technique refinement of
front & back
crawl and introduces breaststroke & elements
of sidestroke.
Swimmer concentrates on increased coordination
and refinement of 6 key strokes; butterfly & flip turns are introduced.
Clinic polishes strokes by
improving efficiency, power, and smoothness over greater distances preparing
students
to participate in more advanced courses such as Lifeguard Training or competitive
swimming.
Adults (18 years and older)
Adult Beginner for those with very little or no swimming or water background.
Adult Advanced Beginner is designed to increase their
water skills in varying degrees from inclusion of rotary breathing,
learning
new strokes or sharpening competitive swimming strategies.
New! Morning Stroke Clinic is ideal for any swimmer
desiring to increase stroke efficiency and endurance. Clinic is designed to improve technique with the individual swimmer's need in mind. Want to train for a triathlon or just improve your breathing, stroke clinic is available to both children and adults. Prerequisite skill: ablility to swim 25 yards.
Private Swim Lessons are
available upon request. One-to-one instruction fees are $130 for 2 hours
minimum. To maximize the learning process, we recommend four (4) 30 minute
instruction sessions with independent practice between instructional sessions.
