The aim of The UWF SCUBA Club is to promote the sport of SCUBA Diving amongst the students of UWF. We also seek to raise awareness of the fragility of the underwater environment. To this aim the SCUBA club holds regular meetings where guest speakers present a variety of topics ranging from conservation, marine biology research, underwater archaeology, and SCUBA diving techniques. The SCUBA Club hosts certification courses from entry level Open Water Certification up to and including Dive Master. Certified club members enjoy unlimited use of club owned tanks, BCs, and regulators as well as discounts at local dive shops. Dues are $30.00 for the year or $20.00 for the semester. The club meets every other Tuesday at 7pm in Building 13, room 230.
