Rugby
The University of West Florida Rugby Football Club
(UWFRFC)
With the return of rugby to the 2016 Summer Olympics, the sport is rapidly gaining popularity in the United States. This year is the rugby club's eleventh year on campus. The club won the 2010 Division Championship last Spring to cap off an undefeated regular season; their only loss came later in the playoffs in the Deep South Conference Championship. The Deep South is a regional union under USA Rugby, the governing body for rugby in the United States. This year, the club looks to extend their season even further and make an appearance at the national tournament.
