Incentive Program
(Monday,
January 14 - Friday, April 25)
Get rewarded for your workouts! Each time you complete a workout in the Fitness
Center or take a Group Fitness class, ask a Fitness Center employee to date
and initial your Argofit log book. The official sign-up sheet and log books
can be located in the weight room downstairs, in the new HLS building.

• Tuesday Trivia
(Fitness Center ... Fall 07 through Spring 08)

Each Tuesday, an exercise related trivia question will be announced over the loudspeakers each hour on the hour. Participants are allowed to answer the trivia question once each Tuesday. All those who answer the question correctly will be put into a drawing to win a Fitness Center Prize !!!!!

Instructor Training (F.I.T.)
(Jan. 25 - March 21)
F.I.T.
is an 8-week program designed to
motivate and educate students on what it takes to be an effective
employee in a fitness center. This class covers material
including health, wellness, personal training, anatomy, testing
procedures, and various exercises. This course is highly
recommended for any students interested in working in the
UWF Fitness Center.
• Bench Press Contest
(March 27 )
The contest will be held in the Fitness Center (lower fitness) bldg. 72 beginning at 6:30pm.
• Maintain Don't Gain, Holiday Campaign
(November 17 - January 14)

Fitness Orientations
Are you unsure about how to use the equipment in the Fitness Center? Do you
want to learn proper form and technique? The Fitness Center Supervisor
on duty is available at all times if you are interested.
WELLNESS
• Blood Pressure Screenings
(Sept. 18 & Nov. 30 ; 12:00pm-2:00pm & 6:00pm-8:00pm)
Screening on Sept. 18 will be held in the lobby of building 72 from 12:00pm- 2:00pm. All other screenings will be held in the Fitness Center in building 72.
• Free Body Fat Tuesdays
(Every
Tuesday, January 8 - April 22; 5:30 - 6:30pm)
Assessments will be held in building 72 on
the lower level.
• Women on Weights
(January 14 - March 6)
Program designed to increase the number of women engaging in resistance training by introducing, demonstration, and training women on a variety of exercises designed to enhance the participants overall strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health.
Each participant has the option of attending scheduled work-out sessions with an on-site Personal Trainer.

GROUP FITNESS
"FIT 5-0" Incentive Program
(Monday, January 7- Sunday, April 27)
Get rewarded for your workouts! Each time you take a Group Fitness class, ask a Group Fitness Instructor give you a "FitPass". Simply write your name and email address on the FitPass and place it in the Fit 5-0 box located in the Blue Studio. All participants will receive an updated email every week indicating how many classes they have attended. All participants who attend 50 or more fitness classes during the Fall semester will recieve a Fitness Prize Pack. The top two participants who attend the most fitness classes over the semester will receive a "First-Class Fitness Prize Pack".
• Group Fitness Instructor Training Program

G.F.I.T.
is an eight week program that will prepare you for AFAA’s
primary aerobics certification. If you want to learn how
to teach aerobics, now is your chance! Join us and learn
everything you need to know to be one of the best Group Fitness
Instructors. This training course is highly recommended for
students interested in instructing for UWF Fitness/Wellness.
Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Fitness Instructor Workshop
(Saturday, February 2nd; 9am - 5pm)
Attend this workshop to become a Nationally certified group fitness instuctor. This certification will allow you to teach a variety of group fitness classes in many fitness facilities.
Partner Yoga

Love Valentines Day? Love Yoga? Bring along a partner and experience partner
yoga for the first time here at UWF. Participants may bring friends
or significant others.
Battle of the Sexes, Face OFF

If you love to attend cycle classes, this is your chance to participate
in the ultimate challenge. Come join as you fight to the finishing
against the team of the other gender.
Blast from the Past 80's Week

Get rewarded for 'Fit 5-0' by having some fun and wearing clothing that represents 80's attire. Have your instructor give you an extra FitPass!
Countdown to Spring Break: PASSPORT TO FITNESS

Yogis, Take A Hike

Love to hike? Love Yoga? Well, come and get the best of both worlds! Join
us as we hike into the UWF wilderness where we will enjoy the beauty of
nature as we engage in 45 minutes of relaxing yoga. Meet inside the blue
studio (downstairs) at 4pm with your own towel or yoga mat.
Irish Ride
