Each semester, Group Fitness provides a variety of incentive programs designed to keep participants motivated while continuing their journey to a healthier lifestyle. Great prizes are rewarded to the leading participants in each incentive program. All programs are completely FREE! Just show up to any Group Fitness class and the instructor will provide further details on how to participate in each of the following:
WHAT? Kick off the semester the right way and join us for one our group fitness classes. Students who attend 5 group fitness classes in the first two week of classes will win a prize!
WHEN? Monday, Aug 26 - Sunday, Sept 6
WHAT? Do you have what it takes? Attend 50 group fitness classes throughout the semester and win prizes! There are several opportunities to win prizes with this incentive program:
WHEN? Monday, Aug 26 - Friday, Dec. 6
HOW? Each participant will receive a Fit5-0 card to bring to each class. At the end of each class he/she will bring his/her Fit5-0 Card to the instructor who will inital the card.Participants who are done with the program will insert the Fit5-0 card into the dropbox in the Blue Studio. Prizes will be collected at the end of the semester.
Note: participants who arrive late for class will not be given a 5-0 pass. Tardiness is determined by the instructor.
WHAT? During the month of October, Recreation and Sports Services will be raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness. We will be taking any spare change, money, or Yoplait yogurt lids. Come give your "two cents" and support a great cause!
WHEN? Thursday, Oct. 3 - Monday, Oct 28
WHAT? Attend a featured class and receive two signatures on your FIT 5-0 card.
WHEN? Tuesday, Oct 1 - Thursday, Oct 31
WHAT? Tone up for Turkey Day and join us for one our strength fitness classes. Students who attend 5 strength fitness classes before the break will win a prize!
WHEN? Monday, Nov 18 - Sunday, Nov 24
WHAT? "New year, new me." Very similar to Bring it Back and Tone up for Turkey Day. Attend 10 group fitness classes the first two weeks back from Christmas break and receive a prize!Get cool UWF gear, and get fit doing it!
WHEN? Monday, Jan 6 - Sunday, Jan 19
WHAT? Group Fitness classes such as Yoga, Dance, and Zumba will join forces and host "partner-themed" sessions where patrons are encouraged to bring a friend or significant other to join in on the group fitness fun!
