Shelley joined the Office of Recreation and Sports Services in 1984.  She is responsible for administering and directing risk management, aquatics operations, instructional programs  management, outdoor adventure program, instructor training, and is an instructor in the aquatic and safety education curricula. She completed the NIRSA School of Sports Management, the Executive Institute and has training through the Center for Sports Law and Risk Management.  Shelley has served as faculty at the American Red Cross Institute and for the Division of Health, Leisure and Exercise Science.
