Shaun Boren came to the University of West Florida as a Coordinator and the first professional staff devoted to the Outdoor Adventure program in 2005.  He coordinates custom trips and hosts clinics. 

Shaun has been playing and working in the outdoors as long as he can remember, but he realized he could combine the two during undergraduate studies at the College of William and Mary. He finished a BS in Biology while gathering outdoor education experience leading him to a graduate program at the University of New Hampshire, where he completed an MS in Outdoor Education while starting the Outdoor Recreation Program. He spent a year managing a private climbing gym before coming here to become the first professional staff person devoted solely to Outdoor Adventures.

Whenever Shaun isn't in the great outdoors he mentors and creates music with the many instruments he plays, such as the guitar and piano.  Shaun has a brother, Tillman, his mother Alyne, and fathers Michael and Bob.
