Dave joined the Office of Recreation and Sports Services in 1990. As Director, he is responsible for the direction and performance of Recreation and Sports Services. He became a National Intramural-Recreation Sports Association (NIRSA) Certified Recreational Sports Specialist (CRSS) in 1992 and completed the NIRSA School of Recreational Sports Management in 1994. He has graduated from two NIRSA Executive Institutes in 1996 and 1998. Dave was the State Director for the Florida NIRSA from 1994-1996. He was awarded the UWF Student Affairs Award of Excellence in 1996 and 2000 for his contributions to the University and was awarded a National NIRSA Service Award in 2000 plus the 2001 NIRSA Region II Award of Merit for outstanding contributions to the NIRSA. Dave graduated from the NASPA and SACSA Mid-Manager’s Institute in 2007. He is an active member of the campus community and continues to serve on several local and national committees.
