The Counseling Psychology concentration is designed primarily to prepare individuals for admission to a doctoral program in Clinical (Ph.d. or Psy.D.) or Counseling Psychology. Students must complete the core departmental requirements, counseling concentration courses, a 450-hour field placement across two semesters (Practicum and Internship), and a thesis.
Thesis (6 semester hours)
Students interested in seeking certification in Guidance and Counseling by the Florida Department of Education may do so by supplementing the coursework described above.
