The degree plan for this certificate includes a selected set of electives within Psychology, Philosophy, and Computer Science that allow the student to tailor the program to career goals and interest areas. It is possible for a student to complete the 15 semester hour requirements for the Certificate in Cognitive Psychology by successfully completing the 42 semester hours of courses specified below to meet core requirements and electives in the General Track for a Master's in Psychology.

Students earning the Cognitive Psychology Certificate must complete 15 semester hours of course work in cognitive psychology and related disciplines. Two courses are required of all certificate students (EXP 5208 and EXP xxx1). The remaining 9 semester hours are selected from a group of cognitive psychology electives.
