Dear Colleagues,
In 2008, the University of West Florida participated in The Chronicle for Higher Education "Great Colleges to Work For" program, a study designed to recognize institutions that have created innovative programs in compensation, benefits and the work experience. UWF's faculty and staff were invited to take part in the survey and, as a result, UWF has been "Named a Great College to Work For."
UWF is again participating in The Chronicle's "Great Colleges to Work For" Program. Part of the program involves an employee survey distributed to a sample of each institution's full-time faculty, administrators and professional staff. An invitation to take this survey was distributed to a random selection of university employees April 2. A reminder e-mail message was sent yesterday, April 12, to those employees in the sample who have not yet completed the survey.
The deadline to complete the survey is April 24.
I want to thank everyone who has already completed the survey for taking the time to share your views and opinions.
If you have not yet taken the survey and received the reminder, please take a moment to provide your feedback. You are representing not only yourself, but all of your UWF colleagues. The results of the survey will be factored into the overall scoring process that will ultimately determine the institutions recognized. The Chronicle will publish the findings this summer in a special Academic Workplace Supplement.
Again, I encourage everyone to participate! A high response rate helps ensure accurate results and demonstrates the commitment of our workforce.
Thank you, in advance, for your participation. You are welcome to contact Cindy Faria at Ext. 2602 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Judy Bense
President, University of West Florida
