(entire Lesson Plan and Presentation = 40% of final grade)


I. LESSON DEVELOPMENT

A. Instructor Guide (40 points)

1. How to Teach at a Distance (include tips and a description of the equipment that will be used in the lesson itself.)

2. How to Learn at a Distance (can be a duplicate of the information in the Student Guide)

3. Goals and Objectives of the Lesson

4. Teaching Outline

a. Key timeframes for each segment of the lesson

b. Indicate when instructor should use each type of equipment/or progress through the PowerPoint presentation

c. Provide detail for activities that should be conducted (copy of the activities included in the instructor packet where appropriate)

B. Student Guide (35 points)

1. How to Learn at a Distance

2. Guided Notetaking Sheet(s)

3. Description of Activities

4. Test

5. Attitude Survey

C. PowerPoint presentation (10 points)

II. CLASS PRESENTATION (5 points)

Overview of the lesson:
content overview
specific activities
interactions
discuss any technical issues that may have arisen, things you would change,etc.
Total presentation time: (not to exceed 10 minutes)

III. CONSULTING FACULTY EVALUATION (10 points)

Did the group meet with you at least twice?

Did the group act in a professional manner?

Did you have the opportunity to review the materials that the group created and make changes?

Were you satisfied with the final product?

Do you now feel better prepared to teach a lesson at a distance?
