
Personnel Development Partnership at University of West Florida
The purpose of the project is to increase the State’s capacity to recruit, prepare and retain highly qualified personnel in Florida that provide instructional and related services to children with disabilities. The project also includes a management component of the State Personnel Development Grant responsible for federal reporting requirements.
Current PDP Projects & Descriptions
Paras To Teachers is a collaborative project providing special education courses for para-educators. The focus for this project is on the Elementary/ESE Online Dual Certification. Students completing this degree will also have earned a Reading and ESOL Endorsement.
Autism and Severe/Profound Endorsement Support Program
The purpose of the Autism and Severe/Profound Endorsement Support Program is to provide financial
assistance to Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teachers who are working in Florida’s public schools
with students identified as
autistic or severe/profound.
Speech/Language Pathology Masters Degree Program
The Speech/Language Pathology (SLP) Master’s Degree Support Program provides financial assistance for participants to earn a master’s degree in speech/language pathology.
This project is funded by the State of Florida, Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education Student Services, through federal assistance under the IDEA, Part D, Individuals with Disabilities Act of 2004 (IDEA) Subpart Sections 651-656, CFDA #84.323A.
