The purpose of PHI DELTA KAPPA INTERNATIONAL is to promote quality education, in particular publicly supported education, as essential to the development and maintenance of a democratic way of life. This purpose shall be accomplished through Research, Service and Leadership in Education. Northwest Florida's PDK Chapter #1312 was established in 1974 to support PDK International's purpose in both Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties. Our goal is to provide educators at all levels the opportunities to interact with each other in activities related to support of quality education. PDK #1312's theme for the 2008-2009 school year is, "Public Education:Success Takes Everyone." Click on the Calendar link for this year's programs.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT
Success Takes Everyone! No truer words have ever been spoken. This is a great time in our history given the fact that educators have begun to unite together through curricular endeavors, sharing and replicating successful lesson plans and becoming more active in the “business” side of teaching. Teachers are not only working together within their own communities but thanks to media and technology, they are coming together worldwide. The world community is starting to see its place within this profession we call education. Everyone has a part in the successful rearing /educating of our children. Success takes everyone but failure is always achieved alone.
