A Message from
the Head Librarian

Welcome to your eleventh week at the library.  We have completed our text readings in this course. You have the next week to work on your final draft without other course activities.

I hope to have section III and IV feedback to everyone in the next day or so. Until then you should focus your revision efforts on Sections I and II based on feedback received associated with those sections. Remember that your final draft is due in just a few weeks.

I am finalizing the objectives and test specifications for the final exam this week and will share these with you in our weekly lessons next week so be looking for that.

The tidbit this week is one of the quirks in APA format for reference entries.  Just when you think you've seen it all, you find a journal article that has eight authors.  Actually, there are two quirks here.  The first is this: in the reference entry you use et al. after the sixth author's name to represent the rest.  The second quirk is the citation in text: you use the first author's name followed by et al. every time the work is cited, including the first time.  See pages 240-241 for the details.

Our goals this week are to:

  • Work on final draft of research proposal

Don't Forget Your
Library Card!

Each week this section will provide you with any necessary material that will be essential for you completing assignments.

Task #1:
Complete the Library Patron Feedback Form for Week 10.
