To supplement its free online publication, Panhandler also simultaneously publishes each issue (not including the dispatch issues) as a full-color art book. Beginning with Issue 6, each book will be published in limited-edition hardcover of 30 numbered copies. The editors of Panhandler believe that the dual publication of the magazine online and in print captures the essence and charge of the magazine: to disseminate all forms of art as openly and freely as possible, and simultaneously to honor the aesthetics of the printed page. Each folio contributor to Panhandler receives one art book of the issue in which his or her work appears.
