Orientation Session
- Check-in will be from 8am - 8:45am in Martin Hall
- Orientation will end around 5pm on the second day
- Students are required to stay in the residence hall during the night
of their session
We have two days PACKED with activities and information. During Orientation, you will receive information about the various services on campus, meet other new students, meet current students, faculty, and staff, and learn about the various opportunities available to you.
As part of Orientation, you will see an academic advisor, build your schedule for your first semester at UWF, and register for classes.
If you are making flight reservations the earliest you would be able to catch a flight out of Pensacola will be 6:30 p.m.
- Take University Parkway into UWF
- Take a left at Campus Drive
- Follow Campus Drive for about 1.5 miles. You will be guided by Orientation Check-In signs.
-Continue through the first light and turn right into Martin Hall.
- You will park in the Martin Hall parking lot.
-We will hold check-in for New Student Orientation and Family Orientation at Martin Hall.
The University address is 11000 University Parkway, Pensacola, FL 32514 if you would like to use a web-based mapping system for directions.
Your place is not held until full payment for Orientation is received.The university must receive your payment within fourteen days of registration.
If the University has not received your full payment by day fifteen, your reservation will be dropped. If this takes place you will be required to re-register for orientation. There is no guarantee that the session you wish to attend will still be available at the point of re-registration. To avoid this please make full payment to Orientation within two weeks of registration.
All cancellations must be done in writing.You may submit those via e-mail to orientation@uwf.edu or you may send them by mail to Orientation, University of West Florida, 11000 University Parkway, Building 21 Room 130, Pensacola, FL 32514.
You may make changes to your orientation registration up to 14 days prior to the session for which you are registered via LightHouse. Between 14 days and the day of your session you must contact the Orientation Office by phone (850) 473-7229 or via e-mail at orientation@uwf.edu. These changes may include such things as needing to change session dates or adding a guest. There may be charges associated with certain changes. Please consult our web page on charges.
You may check your registration status at any time by logging into LightHouse
at https://nautical.uwf.edu/lighthouse//
Once in Lighthouse, click on Orientation Registration. Your registration receipt
should come into view.
It is not required that your parents attend Orientation. However, we do strongly encourage it. The Family Orientation will provide them with information which they will find helpful in assisting you with your transition to college.
