The list of links presented below is a guide to resources in business, economics, statistics, and data sources. It is by no means comprehensive. The student is encouraged to start the search for a research topic by selecting areas of interest first. This should be followed by reading articles in specialized economics/business journals. Regarding course work, it is a good idea to reproduce some of the examples in the text, and work out some of the problems that require estimation. The text [Harnett, D.L. and J.F. Hornell (1998): Data, Statistics, and Decision Models using Excel. John Wiley and Sons.] comes with two diskettes, one with Excel data files, and the other with a statistical analysis plug-in called KADDSTAT. Some of the data sets will be used in class, and some will be used for homework. Other data sets are useful for replication of illustrations.
