Admission requirements for the Master of Science in Administration
Applicants to the MSA degree program must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Each of the specializations has requirements in addition to general university minimum standards of admissions to graduate study (please see below). International students must take the TOEFL and submit passing scores according to university standards.
General University requirements for admission to graduate study
MEET DEPARTMENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION:
CONDITIONAL ADMISSION TO GRADUATE PROGRAMS
If you do not meet the above criteria, but are recommended by the department housing your proposed MSA specialization, then you may be admitted on a conditional basis. If you have graduated from a non-regionally accredited institution, then you may be admitted on a conditional basis and are required to earn at least an average grade of “B” (3.0 GPA) during the first 12 semester hours of graduate study at the University. Students admitted on a conditional basis who fail to achieve the "conditions" of their admission may be suspended from the program.
Acquisition and Contract
The Acquisition and Contract Administration Specialization requires a GRE or GMAT score at the end of the first semester for admission, a letter of intent, and contact information for three professional references.
Biomedical/Pharmaceutical
The Biomedical/Pharmaceutical Specialization requires a GRE score scores no later that the initial semester of enrollment as a degree-seeking student, a letter of intent, and three letters of recommendation.
Criminal Justice Administration admission requirements
Admission to the MSA-Criminal Justice requires an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution, submission of scores on the GRE prior to admission, a letter of intent and three letters of recommendation including one from an employer and one from a former college instructor familiar with the student's academic abilities.
Database Administration
The Database Administration Specialization requires a GRE score prior to admission, a letter of intent, and three letters of professional reference.
Educational Leadership admission reqirements
The MSA-Educational Leadership requires a GRE score prior to admission, a letter of intent, and three professional references.
Health Care Administration admission requirements
Admission to the MSA-Health Care Administration requires a letter of intent, three letters of professional reference, and GRE scores prior to the initial semester of enrollment as a degree-seeking student.
Human Performance Technology admission requirements
The MSA-Human Performance Technology requires a letter of intent, three letters of professional reference, and GRE scores no later than the initial semester of enrollment as a degree-seeking student.
Nursing Administration
The Nursing Administration Specialization requires a GRE score prior to admission, a letter of intent, and three letters of professional reference.
Public Administration admission requirements
Admission to the MSA-Public Administrationrequires a letter of intent, contact information for three professional references, and GRE scores no later than the initial semester of enrollment as a degree-seeking student.
Software Engineering Administration
The Software Engineering Administration Specialization requires a GRE score prior to admission, a letter of intent, and three letters of professional reference.
