Welcome to the University of West Florida’s Military and Veterans Resource Center (MVRC). The University of West Florida (UWF) is excited to have a center dedicated to supporting our military and veteran students.

MVRC Mission: We are committed to serve the educational and training needs of prospective and currently enrolled service members, veterans, their dependents, their survivors, and other persons eligible to receive educational benefits under the various Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) programs. The MVRC supplements recruitment and retention efforts by providing transition assistance counseling, program and application information, and certifying eligible students to receive DVA educational benefits while maintaining productive relations with the DVA and other agencies serving veterans.

The UWF MVRC serves as a leading campus advocate for military and veterans students, working to ensure the needs of these individuals are met through coordinating with multiple university offices and services. The center provides assistance with the following:

• Coordinating academic advising
• Tutoring
• Counseling
• Disability accommodations
• GI bill education benefits
• Referral to state and federal resources and services
