Dr. Wayne Bennett

Dr. Bennett is a full-time faculty member at UWF where he teaches courses in comparative animal physiology, marine biology, fish physiology, shark biology, coral reefs and marine mammals.  He earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Texas. His main interests include the study of sharks, sea snakes, air-breathing fish, coral reefs and mangrove swamps.  His research projects have taken him to remote locations in Costa Rica, Honduras, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, and Japan.

Justin is a graduate student in Dr. Bennett’s lab, and can either be found there (Bldg. 58, rm. 143) snoozing at his desk, or in the greenhouse (Bldg. 84) playing with his stingrays.

Alyce is a graduate student in Dr. Pomory’s Invertebrate Lab (Bldg. 58, Rm. 139) and can be found there laundering all our money, or in Dr. Pomory’s office (Bldg. 58, rm 007) trying to figure out how the hell to keep Upside-down Jellies alive.
