YES! A student cannot be admitted to the MBA Program nor take Core Classes until they take the GMAT and score a 450 or better. Only Accelerated Foundations courses can be taken without a GMAT score filed.
Can the GRE be substituted for the GMAT?
YES. A score of 1000 or higher (when the verbal and quantitative scores are added) is required. Accelerated foundations can be taken without a GRE on file.
What are the Accelerated Foundations Courses?
Accelerated Foundations provide a series of intensive modules that cover the essential knowledge areas required to enter the Finish in Five Program. These cover such areas as Financial Management, Statistics, Management, Marketing, and Management Information Systems.
The Finish in Five Program allows the qualified student an opportunity to complete their MBA in five semesters. In addition, you complete your classes with a cohort of working professionals from many business areas in education, government, industry and military.
Do I have to take prerequisites?
To determine if prerequisite or foundational courses are needed, prospective students should schedule an appointment with the MBA Recruiter by calling the MBA Office, 850.474.3124.
Can I transfer graduate classes from my other school?
The maximum number of hours that may be transferred into the MBA Program is six semester hours. Course work must be from an AACSB accredited school. Each course is reviewed on a case by case basis to determine if it is an acceptable substitution for the UWF MBA course. A syllabus and course description is required to help make this determination.

What kind of financial aid is available?

Do I have to start at a particular time of year?
Students may start the MBA program at any semester, spring, summer or fall, on the Pensacola campus. Accelerated foundation prerequisites are available every semester and if prerequisites have already been met, entry into the core program can also occur at any semester. Students in the Fort Walton Beach/Eglin area may start the MBA core cohort in that location every other semester.

How long will it take to complete the program?
If you participate in the Finish in Five Program, you can complete the core 30 semester hours of the MBA in approximately 19 months.
