The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation. REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program. Undergraduate student participants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or its possessions. Print the flyer.
Students may not apply to NSF to participate in REU activities. Students apply directly to REU Sites
The REU program at UWF introduces eight undergraduate mathematics or statistics students to research in mathematics and statistics related to biology. Participants will use undergraduate mathematics and statistics together with mathematical and statistical software to investigate, on their own and in collaboration with others, problems that arise in certain areas of biology. See REU2008 to apply for this years REU. See REU2007 about last year's events (coming soon).
