Hash Brown Potato Casserole Categories: meats/main dish 1 package (2 lb) hash brown potatoes (frozen) 1/2 cup butter; melted 1 teaspoon salt (optional) 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional) 1/2 cup onion; chopped 1 pint sour cream 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup 2 cup cheddar cheese; grated 2 cup corn flakes; (crushed) 1/4 cup butter or margarine; melted Defrost potatoes and combine with 1/2 cup melted butter, slat, pepper, onion, soup, sour cream and cheese. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch flat (3 qt) casserole and top with corn flakes that have been mixed with 1/4 cup melted butter. Bake at 350°F about 45 minutes. Contributor: Niles Elk Lodge Ladies |
