Glossy Chocolate Frosting Categories: desserts 3 tablespoon shortening 3 squares (1 oz ea) unsweetened chocolate 2 cup powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Heat shortening and chocolate in top of double boiler over low heat until melted. Stir in remaining ingredients; beat until smooth. Place pan of frosting in bowl of ice and water; continue beating until frosting is smooth and of spreading consistency.
