Chewy Chocolate Cookie Categories: desserts 1 1/4 cups butter; softened 2 cups sugar 2 each eggs 2 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups flour 3/4 cup Hershey's Cocoa 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup nuts (optional); finely chopped Cream butter or margarine and sugar in large mixer bowl. Add eggs and vanilla; blend well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts if desired. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 8 - 9 minutes (Do not overbake. Cookies will be soft. They will puff during baking, flatten upon cooling.)
