Cheddar Quick Bread

1/3 cup butter or margarine
2 1/2 cups flour
5 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon dill weed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese; shredded
1 1/2 cup oats (quick or regular)
1 1/2 cups milk
2 each eggs

Cut butter into combined flour, baking powder, dill weed and salt. Stir in cheese and oats. Add milk and eggs; mix just until dry ingredients are moistened. Spoon into greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake at 375°F about 1 hour. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool additional 40 minutes before slicing to serve.
