Orange-Almond Biscotti

3 cup flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine or butter; softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 each egg
2 tablespoon orange peel; grated
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Mix flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. 2. Beat margarine and sugar with mixer until creamy. Beat in eggs, orange peel and vanilla. Gradually blend in flour mixture. 3. Knead almonds into dough by hand on floured surface. Divide dough in half. 4. Shape each half into a 12 x 2 inch long on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Cool 15 minutes. Cut diagonally into 1-inch thick slices. Place cut-side up on baking sheet; bake 10 minutes on each side until lightly toasted. Cool. Store in airtight container.
