Impossible Tuna-cheese Pie Categories: meats/main dish 2 medium onion; chopped 1/4 cup margarine 2 6.5 oz cans tuna; drained, flaked 2 cups cheddar cheese; shredded 1 cup bisquick baking mix 1 1/4 cup milk 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional) 1/8 teaspoon pepper 3 large eggs 2 medium tomato; thinly sliced HEAT oven to 400°F GREASE square baking dish 8x8x2". Cook onions and margarine in 10" skillet over low heat, stirring occasionally, until onions are light brown. Sprinkle tuna, 1 cup of cheese and onions into plate. BEAT Bisquick, milk, salt, pepper and eggs with wire whisk or hand beather until almost smooth - about 1 minute. Pour into plate. BAKE until knife inserted in center comes out clean - 25 to 30 minutes. Top with tomatoe slices and remaining cheese. Bake until cheese is melted - 3 to 5 minutes. COOL 5 minutes to set. . For a meal-maker, try adding mixed vegetables. Yield: 6 to 8 servings |
