I am an anthropologist specializing in archaeology
and ethnohistory, with a primary research focus on the European colonial
era in the Southeastern United States. On these pages are some
resources of potential interest to students and colleagues, including
selected unpublished papers, as well as information on past and present
research and teaching activities, and assorted links and photos.
In addition to my main faculty web page, I have
developed a resource page about
Spanish Florida
between 1513 and 1763; please check back for periodic updates.
I have developed a
flyer (.pdf format) with
information about the planned 2010 UWF field school at
Mission San
Joseph de Escambe, which is being explored as part of the Pensacola
Colonial Frontiers Project. To read about the
successful 2009 summer search and discovery of the mission, visit the online
blog
detailing our progress along the way.
Thanks to my wife Concha for her help in the aesthetic
design of this page; her own web page
La Gubia y El Tas is a renowned Art History study of Semana Santa (Holy Week) in her hometown of Sevilla, Spain.
