Primary Responsibilities:   The four primary service areas of IRES are (1) providing management information systems and reports; (2) data administration; (3) research and analytical services; and, (4) support of institutional effectiveness monitoring. Primary responsibilities for each of these service areas consist of the following:

1. MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
• Providing comprehensive management information systems and reports.
• Providing descriptive information about the university.
• Coordinating responses to inquiries for the university-related information.
• Coordinating UWF's participation in the Board of Governors data collecting/reporting system.

 

2. DATA ADMINISTRATION (with ITS)
• Coordinate with the BOG for a comprehensive data dictionary.
• Enacting data quality processes and controls.

 

3. RESEARCH AND ANALYTICAL SERVICES
• Conduction survey-based research about the university's students, faculty, staff, programs, and operations.

 

4. SUPPORT OF INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS MONITORING
• Gathering and presenting institutional performance data
• Coordinating data exchanges with peer institutions for benchmarking purposes.
• Coordinating responses to external accountability mandates
