Primary Responsibilities:
The four primary service areas of IRES are (1) providing management information systems and reports; (2) data administration; (3) research and analytical services; and, (4) support of institutional effectiveness monitoring. Primary responsibilities for each of these service areas consist of the following:
- MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
- Providing comprehensive management information systems and reports.
- Providing descriptive information about the university.
- Coordinating responses to inquiries for the university-related information.
- Coordinating UWF's participation in the Board of Governors data collecting/reporting system.
- DATA ADMINISTRATION (with ITS)
- Coordinate with the BOG for a comprehensive data dictionary.
- Enacting data quality processes and controls.
- RESEARCH AND ANALYTICAL SERVICES
- Conduction survey-based research about the university's students, faculty, staff, programs, and operations.
- SUPPORT OF INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS MONITORING
- Gathering and presenting institutional performance data
- Coordinating data exchanges with peer institutions for benchmarking purposes.
- Coordinating responses to external accountability mandates
